Christmas Market

Christmas Market

Late night shopping of previous years is looking a bit different this year!

This year, St. Agnes Parish Chamber of Commerce is holding a Christmas Market. The aim of the market is to create a carefully curated shopping experience showcasing the diverse and rich range of independent businesses we have in our beautiful parish. In addition to the stalls, many of the local shops and eateries will be open.

Between 5.00pm and 8.30pm on the 10th December, Vicarage Road will be closed to allow the space to flow through the village.

The Church and Church Hall will be showcasing a range of local businesses from across the parish. They will be operating a one-way system, to allow a safe flow through the buildings. All the stalls will also be safely spaced and we will be encouraging visitors to wear masks to help keep each other safe.

The Library will be holding a MEGA BOOK SALE and the MMI will have a craft market, with tables spaced apart to promote safety.

Lots of local shops, cafes and restaurants will be open with some offering Christmas Market specials.

We hope that by removing some of the loved, but crowd promoting aspects of previous years, and creating the opportunity for a flowing trickle of people to pass through the village and market, we can create a safer event. So sadly there will be no parade, performers or table activities for the children. There will still be a raffle but this, will be a filmed draw to be posted on social media.

This year is a stepping stone from nothing last year, to hopefully something more event filled next year! Thank you for all of your support and hope to see you there, safely.

Look out for our daily posts in the run up to the event to find out more about the businesses involved.
