23 Apr Local Businesses Go Online
As we all get used to a little more freedom and are able to start organising our summer breaks, we in St Agnes Parish look forward to welcoming both regular and new visitors to the area.
But if you are missing your regular visit, many of our businesses are now taking orders online, allowing you perhaps a view, memory or taste of St Agnes and the surrounding area.
Here are some of our favourite Chamber of Commerce member businesses that you can buy online from:
- Driftwood Spars Brewery
Lou and Head Brewer Mike have been hard at work over the last year, adding to the brewery’s impressive selection of beers and ales. Whether you are after a mini-keg of your favourite ale, a tasting selection or some of their newer cans, you can buy them all online here.
- Cakes from Rustic Cakes
If you’ve been to any of the pubs and cafes in the Parish, there is a good chance you may have had one of Suzy’s fabulous cakes. As well as her shop and bakery at the Railway Yard in the St Agnes, you can now buy her cakes and cream teas online.
- Artwork from Jo Polack and Celia Creeper
If you are missing the sea, Jo’s work will help you to remember dipping your feet in the rockpools on a sunny day in the Cove. Working with the natural world around her, Jo’s work can be found on her website, as well as in her Studio.
Celia’s work is much more about the villages and harbours of Cornwall and her work is fantastic at evoking that holiday feeling without ever leaving your home. Her studio is now open in the village, and her work can be found online here.
- Clothing from Finisterre and Surfers Against Sewage
Both Finisterre and SAS were founded in the Parish and can both be found up at Wheal Kitty Workshops. Finisterre continues to expand throughout the UK but you can also buy online here.
SAS have been in the news often over the last few years as they continue to campaign for cleaner oceans, something that for anyone that loves Cornwall can whole heartedly understand. You can buy their products online here.
- Everything else from Churchtown Arts
Churchtown Arts is a great shop for whiling away an hour or two while you are staying in St Agnes. Everything from antiques to stationary, to books, jewellery and tableware sits within the walls, much of it locally sourced and very much evoking the feel of the area. The shop is now open but you can buy online here.
